How You Can Be Certain

of Your Eternity

 

1.  The Bible teaches that God loves everyone and wants them to know Him. The Bible says that God "wants all men to be saved." (1 Timothy 2:4)

2. It is because of our sin that we are in need of salvation. The Bible says that "all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." (Romans 3:23)

3. Sin has separated us from God and the end is death and eternal separation from God in hell. The Bible says, "The wages of sin is death" (Romans 6:23) and that "whoever does not believe [in Him] stands condemned already." (John 3:18)

4. But, God sent His Son, Jesus, into the world to die as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. The Bible says, "Christ died for sins once for all... to bring you to God." (1 Peter 3:18)

5. All that we need to do to ensure our place in eternity in heaven with Him is to believe and receive what He has offered us in his Son. The Bible says, "All who received Him, to those who believe on His name, He gave the right to become children of God." (John 1:12)
